John Hill (born January 26, 1944) worked on staff as a writer-type producer on Quantum Leap (1989); He also wrote two episodes, "Star Crossed" in Season 1 (episode #3) and "A Portrait for Trojan" (Season 2, episode #11), which he co- wrote with Scott Shepherd. John was a full-time professional Hollywood TV and screenwriter, from 1974- 1999. His credits include Griffin and Phoenix (1976), Heartbeeps (1981), co-writer of Little Nikita (1988) and Quigley Down Under, (1990). He also has had work as a producer on NBC-TV's L.A. Law series, where he won an Emmy Award in 1991. He now teaches writing and filmmaking at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas (UNLV), in its Educational Outreach division where he lives with his wife Nancy.[2][3] [4]

Reported to have died in December 2017 but details are sketchy.
