Frank Borin (born March 20, 1977) appears as leapee Butch "Butchie" Rickett in the Season 3 episode Quantum Leap titled "Runaway". Frank was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

Career[]

Frank got his start in Hollywood at the age of 13, when he appeared in a short called Marilyn Hotchkiss's Ballroom Dancing and Charm School, as well as his QL episode appearance. After a chance meeting with famed director Steven Speilberg, who persuaded him to go to film school, Frank signed with Propaganda Film's Satellite division alongside fellow future directors Spike Jonze. and Mark Romanek.

Borin has directed over a dozen #1 music videos on MTV's TRL with many of them being retired after so many days on the countdown, as he has made videos for such artists as Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Backstreet Boys, Duran Duran, Cypress Hill, Good Charlotte, Alexandra Burker, among many others. His many awards, nominations and accolades range from MTV, Much Music, CMT (Country Music Television), MVPA (music video production association) and Billboard Music awards. Frank also has the honor of directing MTV's most requested video of 2003 for Good Charlotte's “The Anthem.”

Frank's directorial work has created a buzz in advertising as well with his now infamous three spot campaign for Tommy Hilfiger. Frank's commercial credits include Coca Cola, Sony Playstation, Microsot Xbox, Sprite, Bud Light, Activision, Levi’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Partnership of a Drug Free America as well as many international clients such as Beeline, Tele2, Vimto, Djuice and many others.
